The Pacific Puddle Jump sail rally is an annual migration of private sailing yachts leaving various ports on the West coast of the Americas. The uniting mission of the rally is that all vessels are bound for French Polynesia to arrive in April, May or June.
The Puddle Jump video documents the 2009 Puddle Jump seminar held at West Marine in San Diego on Oct. 24, 2009 prior to the Baja Ha-Ha. Andy Turpin, managing editor of Latitude magazine, and Clark straw of s/v Final Straw provide advice, tips and a veteran voyager's perspective on the event. Turpin who has been an active Puddle Jumper since the beginning was tagged with the moniker "Mr. Puddle Jump."
The video features the trop rock music of Eric Stone and the images of French Polynesia from Tahiti Tourism.
